What should I wear to a formal attire birthday party?

So my friend is having her 14th birthday party and it’s going to be a formal attire. I have no idea what I should wear. I have a lot of dresses but they are mostly party dresses. I’m going shopping this weekend so if you have any ideas, please tell! Thanks!

maybe a bubble dress,

wear a knee length prom dress style kind of dress… any color but brown with a white elbow length sweater and flats
