I have a very nice formal dress, that i have only worn once. I would really like to have the opportunity to wear it again.
I cant think of any type of events in my area that require formal wear.
I live in Wisconsin but would be willing to go as far as Chicago Illinois.
Any suggestions?!

I have this Semi for school and i have no clue on what to wear my mom thinks that every dress i like is too formal and the dresses she likes i dont think that it is semi formal. I don’t know what to wear. I was wondering what qualifies as having a Semi Formal dress and what are good cheap stores to get them?

I plan on attending a wedding reception. The attire is semi-formal. I want to be comfortable and do not wish to wear a dress. Can I wear a black knee-length skirt and a crisp white shirt (or silky white blouse), black heels, pearls, and carry a black clutch purse and still be appropriately dressed?
The reception is at a fine hotel in the capitol at 6:30 p.m.

Cocktail dresses are NOT semi-formal – much to short.
The look I’m going for is Grace Kelly in a black pencil skirt with a crisp, stiff collared shirt and pearls. It should be hardly what one would wear for cocktails.
